Abstract

Neste trabalho foram estabelecidos os princípios de um procedimento automatizado, baseado em análise digital de imagens de microscopia, para a classificação qualitativa e quantitativa de inclusões em aços. A metodologia desenvolvida utiliza uma análise morfológica das inclusões. Parâmetros de forma característicos destas inclusões, tais como alongamento, tamanho, distância entre vizinhos e densidade, foram utilizados nesta análise. O método proposto baseou-se nas figuras de referência da norma ASTM E 45. As imagens digitalizadas da norma foram empregadas para a escolha dos parâmetros mais adequados para a classificação dos diferentes tipos de inclusões.

 

In the present work the basis of a procedure for the automatic classification of inclusions in steels through image analysis is discussed. The developed method is based in the morphology of the inclusions. Shape parameters such as elongation, size, nearest neighbor distance and area density were employed. The reference charts from ASTM E45 were used as a reference. The digitized images of the charts were used to select the proper parameters to distinguish the different kinds of inclusions.
