Abstract

The process of die block reclamation of both Hammer and Press forges for a wide range of steel components has been demonstrated to increase die life by more than 100% when compared to conventional die block steels. This paper describes the process used and provides examples of the benefits obtained from a range of applications that have increased die life while providing a significant reduction in the annual cost of die purchases.
